Privacy Policy
1. Overview
ChronoLogic is a time-tracking application designed to help users record work sessions, view time history, label sessions, and export time records for personal use.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ChronoLogic stores, how that information is used, and what choices users have.
2. Information We Collect or Store
ChronoLogic may store the following information on your device:
- Work session start times
- Work session end times
- Total time worked
- Session labels, such as job name, client, location name, or work category
- Optional notes or metadata added by the user
- Optional location information, only if the user enables location features
- Exported CSV files created by the user
ChronoLogic does not require an account to use the app.
3. Local Storage
ChronoLogic is designed to store timekeeping data locally on your device.
Unless specifically added in a future version, ChronoLogic does not upload your time records, labels, location data, or CSV exports to our servers.
4. Location Data
ChronoLogic may offer optional location features to help users associate a work session with a physical location.
Location access is optional. If enabled, location data may be used to help identify where a work session occurred or to help the user organize work history by place.
ChronoLogic will only access location data after the user grants permission through the device operating system. Users may disable location permissions at any time through device settings.
5. CSV Export
ChronoLogic may allow users to export their time records into a CSV file. Exported files may be saved to the device’s local storage or Downloads folder.
Once exported, the user is responsible for how that file is stored, shared, backed up, deleted, or transferred.
6. Data Sharing
ChronoLogic does not sell user data.
ChronoLogic does not keep off-device user data or share user timekeeping records, labels, or location data with third parties unless:
- Sharing is required by law
- A future version adds a clearly disclosed third-party service, such as cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting, or advertising
7. Third-Party Services
The current intended version of ChronoLogic does not require third-party accounts, cloud syncing, or analytics services.
If third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what data is collected, why it is collected, and how it is handled.
8. Permissions
ChronoLogic may request certain device permissions depending on enabled features, including:
- Biometrics: If user wishes to enbale access control to the app
- Notifications: to show active timer status or reminders
- Foreground service access: to keep the timer running while the app is not actively open
- Storage or file access: to create or save exported CSV files, depending on Android version
- Location: only if the user enables location-based session tracking
Permissions are used only to support app functionality.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Because ChronoLogic stores timekeeping data locally on the user’s device, data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears app data, uninstalls the app, or deletes exported files manually.
Uninstalling the app may delete locally stored app data, depending on the device and operating system behavior.
10. Children’s Privacy
ChronoLogic is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date above.
